MOD. "Minus One Datum" (RULES)

I'll tweet a piece of datum every so often.  These piece of datum, or collectively "data", will seem unrelated and, frankly, make me look like a crazy man.

At some point, a tweet will go out that contains a category.  Every tweet up to that point will fit into that category, except for one.  You must tweet back that one piece of datum that does not fit to get full credit.

Example time.  Here's a series of tweets:

mod.1: dog
mod.2: table
mod.3: two emus
mod.4: camera tripod
mod.5: Brangelina

mod.category: things with 4 legs

The correct answer in this case is "mod.4: camera tripod".  Makes sense?  Good.

There is no limit to how many items can be tweeted before the category is revealed, so you must be on your toes.  But to make things a bit easier, "MOD." will only be played once in a day, and no game will ever last more than 3 hours.

Remember, you are not trying to guess the topic, you are only choosing which item does not fit into the topic once the topic has been revealed.

Keep in mind that other games could be in play at the same time.

LBS. "Little Bitty Stumpers" (RULES)

The rules to "LBS." one are simple.

A category and question will be posed.  All you must do is answer the question by tweeting a response.  This is not only a game about knowledge, but also about speed: the faster you get your answer in, the more points you will earn.

Each question will have a MAXIMUM of 30 Minutes in which to be answered.  1 point will be given for every minute that is remaining on the clock when your answer is received.  You get no points if your answer is wrong.

As of now, only ONE ANSWER may be submitted per person.  If you happen to submit more than one, only your FIRST answer will count.  This could change, so be prepared.

Shall we do an example?  Ok.  A question tweet may look like this:

LBS.: History (HIS.1): How Many Times Did Henry VIII Marry in 1540? [30Min]

The (parenthesis) tell you what category it is as well as what question it is.  The [brackets] tell you how long you have to answer.

A submitted answer should look like this:

@TwitGamez: LBS. HIS.1: Two Times.

Use the shortened category name to save space.  And make sure to specify which question your are answering by also using the number, as some rounds may have multiple questions.

When the answer is finally revealed, it'll look like this:

LBS. ANS HIS.1: Twice. First to Anne of Cleves, then to Catherine Howard.

If you received any points, you'll be notified via Twitter.  A score update will also be tweeted at the end of each round.

That's the gist of it.  Enjoy!

Why Bother?

Part of what I want to do with this is to keep a running score of how people are doing, and reward those who frequently play my games.  That is why I will be giving out points for various achievements (usually by getting the question right).

At the end of a given period, the person or people with the most points will receive recognition.  And maybe something cool.  But since it's very early in development, expect just recognition.

Since this will be via Twitter, keeping track shouldn't be too hard for you, the player, or for me, the handsome host.  There isn't a registration or anything. All you have to do is submit an answer.  Then, I'll keep track of your progress.

Again, the more people that participate (and continue to participate) the better this project will become.

Thanks, and good luck!

My Fellow Americans (And Non-Americans Alike),

Welcome to my umpteenth attempt at a game idea.  I've decided to call this one "Misc." because there will be a variety of games on a vast assortment of topics.

As more games are created and played, they will be added here to this site.  There is one way to participate:

1: Follow @TwitGamez. This will be the main account for Misc., so be sure to follow there.  Games start at 1PM EST/10AM PST.

OK, that's it for now.  Please participate, cause it won't be able to work without you.
